August Brand Kings: BTS Members Still Own the Rankings

    Latest News

The Korean Business Research Institute has dropped August’s boy group member brand reputation rankings, and — surprise to no one — BTS members are sitting right where they belong: at the top and all throughout the list. Out of 755 idols analyzed, BTS proves yet again that they are the oxygen of K-pop. Everyone else? Just trying to breathe.

Let’s start with the big one: Jin took the No. 1 spot this month, earning a brand reputation index of 4,961,133. That’s a 3.54 percent increase since July. High-ranking keywords tied to him included “world tour,” “Don’t Say You Love Me,” and “concert.” Related terms like “outstanding,” “sold out,” and “expand” dominated his analysis. Oh, and his positivity-negativity analysis? A jaw-dropping 94.30 percent positive reactions. In short: worldwide handsome, worldwide loved.

Not far behind, Jimin landed in fourth place with a brand reputation index of 4,385,053. He remains a constant chart-topper, proving that his impact is eternal. Even without group promotions, Jimin’s name is a permanent fixture on these rankings, because when you’re Park Jimin, your brand is basically a superpower.

V came in fifth, with an eye-catching 3,926,662 brand reputation index — a huge 36.18 percent increase from July. That jump shows just how powerful Taehyung’s presence is; even the smallest move from him creates a ripple big enough to send his name soaring on the charts.

And we’re not done. Jungkook followed right after in sixth place, continuing to hold strong as one of the most streamed, searched, and celebrated soloists of his generation. The Golden Maknae doesn’t just participate in the rankings — he sets the standard.

Further down the list, Suga and j-hope still claimed spots within the top 15, proving that their artistry and influence are far from background noise. Even when they aren’t in the middle of active promotions, their names generate numbers strong enough to rival entire groups.

And yes, RM is right there too, reminding everyone that the brain, heart, and lyrical genius of BTS will always command attention. His position reinforces the fact that every member of BTS, no matter where they fall on the chart in any given month, continues to shape the narrative of Korean music.

In other words, the August rankings aren’t just a chart. They’re a reminder that BTS isn’t playing the same game as everyone else. They are the game. From Jin at the top to RM holding steady in the 20s, every single member is still dominating conversation, driving demand, and proving why they’re untouchable.

So congratulations to all 755 idols who were included in this analysis. But let’s be honest: when half the top spots are occupied by BTS, the message is clear. The kings never left — they just keep reminding us every month who runs the show.
